Valerie and Kenny are simply joyful. They were a delightful couple for engagement and even more so on the big day. We started the day at Suite 115 Salon with the wonderful Gina Ketz for hair and makeup with Corrine Piane. From there the bridal party got ready at College Church in Wheaton, Il. Valerie and Kenny did their first look on the beautiful front lawn of Wheaton College.
After the first look we did some breathtaking portraits in the same place. Little patches of light were streaming through the trees. I placed Valerie in them and spin and dance. With such bright beams the rest goes black. Those may be my favorite shots of the day.
Check out the second half of the wedding tomorrow!
I have had the great pleasure of spending a lot of time with Jenn and Jason over the last year. I got to shoot their engagement, elopement, and, finally, wedding. Each time has been more and more beautiful and exciting.
This wedding was at Texas Christian University. I thought I had seen beautiful campuses...until I went to TCU (For those who are interested in such things, I posted a few weeks ago on How to Scout for a Wedding. You can see some more of TCU there).
The wedding was held in the cute little Robert Carr Chapel. From there we shot some stunning portraits around campus and then off to 809 at Vickery. 809 is such a cool venue and Jenn and Jason did some beautiful design.
One of my favorite parts of the reception was the wall of lights on the dance floor which made incredible party photos.
Thanks so much, Jenn and Jason, it has been a blessing.
